Know Them by Their Fruits

It’s a common biblical saying - “Know them by their fruits”, and it couldn’t be more relevant in these end times. Now, we all fall short of Christ’s example. Our lives are busy, we are preoccupied by family worries and concerns about world events. So, often times, our actions may not reflect the best frame of mind. The truth, however, remains. Jesus Christ showed us the way to walk; the actions we ought to emulate in our lives. He taught us to place other’s needs over our own:
Matthew 5:16 KJV
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Our decision to follow Christ and his teachings, by its nature, creates in us a desire to serve others. To demonstrate our love in how we act each day. This service is not a box to be checked off, but a labor of love. It is the very reflection of the nature of Christ. It defines us as Christians in both word and deed. There are a multitude of ways to serve: giving to a food pantry, dropping off clothes for the less fortunate, donating to worthy causes, the encouragement of others. The possibilities are endless. A smile, or kind word, goes a long way.
Sadly though, we still need to use discernment in our interactions with others. There are those who will despitefully use us to the point of persecution. Christ warned us that this would occur in end times. So we need to pray for wisdom and give heed to our discernment:
Matthew 10:16 KJV
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
Be good, do good and be wise.
